Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Heads Back To Work After Dad's Death

It's all business for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as he headed back to work just days after he lost his father. The "Jumanji" star took to social media to post a picture from the set of his upcoming Netflix movie, "Red Notice." The film also stars Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. Taking to Instagram, The Rock shared the photo and seemed happy to be back doing what he loves after his father's unexpected death last week.

Back On Set

Sharing a picture of a plane and a clapperboard baring the movie name on Monday, The Rock captioned the snap, "Day 1 of shooting our RED NOTICE has officially begun for @Netflix. Me and my friends @vancityreynolds and @gal_gadot are on the move." The actor then went into a sypnosis of the higly-anticipated film. "In the world of international crime, an Interpol issued RED NOTICE is a global alert to hunt down and capture the worlds most wanted," he wrote. The world’s greatest art thief. His Dad's Sudden Passing:

As The Blast reported, The Rock opened up about his father Rocky "Soul Man" Johnson's death saying he was "ripped away" before his family could even grasp what happened. The "Jumanji: The Next Level" star has since revealed his famous wrestling dad's cause of death. "A lot of you wanted to know what happened to my dad. He had not been feeling well and had been battling a cold and infection. And on Tuesday he had a deep vein thrombosis which is essentially a blood clot in his leg," The Rock explained.

Case of Death:

Continuing he revealed, "He said the blood clot traveled to his dad's lung and then caused a "massive heart attack." The Rock has several questions he made never get answers to surrounding the passing of his father. "My question was 'Was he in pain? Did it go quick? Was it drawn out?' And [the medical examiner] said it was quick," he wrote. One day later, he revealed he was giving the eulogy at his father's funeral. Rocky "Soul Man" Johnson was 75 years old.
