Drea Kelly Preps Beyoncé Fans For Tour With Viral “II Hands II Heaven” Moves

Drea Kelly has done her part to ensure Beyoncé fans have their moves ready whenever the COUNTRY CARTER artist decides to hit the road.
Over the weekend, footage of the professional dancer, choreographer and actress performing some sensual moves to Bey’s “II Hands II Heaven” went viral, with countless followers and even celebrity fans taking part in the trend. Chlöe Bailey even took some time out from her Coachella activities to give the choreo a try. Check out the viral dance below.
Kelly spoke to USA Today about the initial shock of the dance going viral, saying, “I was like, ‘hold on now, Beyoncé’s internet is on to something.’ And it has taken a life of its own.”
She added that someone actually added Bey’s heartfelt ballad to the two-year-old video, as she was originally dancing to a classic Muddy Waters tune.
“I do burlesque. So that original choreography is to Muddy Waters, ‘I Just Want to Make Love to You’ and somebody put Beyoncé’s music on it. And the next thing I know…they put her music over one of my classes, they put her music over one of my videos. And in Chicago, there’s a dance called the Percolator. So this move that everybody sees me doing is actually an old school, house-music dance, and it fits perfectly.”
While Kelly, 50, enjoys seeing her work bring others joy, she hopes that it will continue to inspire beyond just another online trend. “I have been doing that choreography almost two years now (and it) has been on my page. But you know, I want this to be a testament to people. Your gifts will make a way for you. And I don’t care what anybody thinks. Don’t think you’re too old. Don’t think your content is too old. Something that you put on your page years ago, somebody can discover and it has a new life.”
She went on to add, “Dance does not have age cap (and) performing doesn’t have age cap.”
In addition to being a choreographer, dancer and actress, Kelly is also known as the ex-wife of imprisoned singer R. Kelly, who she divorced in 2009. Check out the viral trend below.
