The Dothan Moonlighters playing free event at Solomon Park

Dothan, AL (WDHN) – The Dothan Moonlighters will soon fill Solomon Park with the sound’s classic tunes. This event is free to the public happening at Solomon Park Friday, April 26th from 6 pm to 8pm. There will be food vendors and facilities available for everyone. You are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and maybe some blankets.

The Dothan Moonlighters have been around for 48 years, some members of the band even travel from all the way up in Auburn to play and even some from down in Florida. A total of 25 members makes up the band.

Both John Belcher, who’s been with the band 24 years, and lead singer Tim Willis came on to WDHN Daytime to tell us more about the Dothan Moonlighters. Belcher even saying that Willis does a great “I can’t Stop Loving You” by Elvis.

You can expect to hear a variety of music from Frank Sinatra to Neil Diamond.

Friday, April 26th, will be the 5th time the Dothan Moonlights have played at Solomon Park, which is located in Garden District at 1815 Choctaw St. in Dothan.
