Dominik Mysterio Helps Santos Escobar Beat Rey Mysterio On 3/22 WWE SmackDown

Dominik Mysterio cost his dad a big win on WWE SmackDown.

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar continued their bitter rivalry on the March 22 episode of WWE SmackDown. The former LWO stablemates clashed in a grudge match that marked Mysterio’s return to the ring. Their respective factions were banned from ringside. They battled back and forth in a competitive bout.

Mysterio gained momentum with a flurry of offense. Escobar drilled the legend with a superkick. Mysterio hit Escobar with part of the broadcast table, and he hit a West Coast Pop into the timekeeper’s area.

A masked man interfered and distracted Rey before he revealed himself to be Dominik Mysterio. Escobar then hit Rey with the Phantom Driver for the win. He celebrated the victory with Dominik.

Escobar previously turned on Mysterio and the LWO in November. Mysterio was absent for several months as he recovered from knee surgery, but he returned on the March 1 episode of WWE SmackDown. He and Escobar continued to feud leading up to their match on Friday.
