Dennis Rodman defends Kim Jong Un during nonsensical interview with Stephen Colbert

Basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman visited The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where he discussed his friendship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Rodman was somewhat hard to follow because a lot of what he said was contradictory and nonsensical.

When asked about the dictator, Rodman replied, “I don’t see how people can sit there and say this person is a madman. He probably is. But I didn’t see that. He probably is. I’m just saying.”

As for reports that the dictator had his uncle killed, Rodman said, “I think a lot of people need to be aware of the fact that I don’t know of anyone in the world that would actually try to kill anyone on this planet.”

Obviously Rodman was overlooking when he murdered the Denver Nuggets with 34 points and 23 rebounds in 1991.

When asked about North Korea’s nuclear program and Kim’s history of human-rights issues, Rodmand replied, “The deal is, I don’t discuss politics because that’s not my job. My job is to be a human being, to try to connect us with him.”

In the end, Rodman gave Colbert a T-shirt of himself, Colbert, Donald Trump, and Kim all working to unify the two countries. And conveniently the shirt also advertised a cryptocurrency company that exists with the aim of becoming the standard form of payment for the legalized cannabis industry.
