Country music singer Morgan Wallen landed himself in hot water over an incident that took place in a Nashville bar on Sunday night, and the 30-year-old is now facing felony charges,

Wallen was arrested shortly after 10:45 p.m. after police say he threw a chair from the rooftop of the newly-opened Chiefs bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville, owned by fellow country star Eric Church. The chair allegedly fell six stories to the ground and landed just a few feet from two police officers, who could have been seriously injured.

According to NBC News, the 30-year-old was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on Monday and charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct. His bond was set at $15,250 and he was released hours later, around 3:30 a.m.

Nashville's NewsChannel 5 reports that officers were shown video footage in which Wallen appeared to be "lunging and throwing an object over the roof." Witnesses also told officers Wallen was seen laughing after throwing the chair.

A photo posted by the It’s Scoop: Nashville Instagram account shows Wallen shouting in the back of a police car. "I work there and the chair damn near took out two cops," commented one apparent employee of the bar. "He threw it from the sixth floor."

Another bystander who was allegedly at the scene wrote that they witnessed Wallen throwing the chair and that he apparently looked before throwing it. "Not saying it was right but he definitely made sure he wasn’t going to hit anyone."

Attorneys for Wallen say that he is fully cooperating with police over the incident.

“At 10:53p Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct," his lawyer said in a brief statement on Monday morning. "He is cooperating fully with authorities.”
