Comedian Jo Koy to perform at New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Comedian Jo Koy is taking his new tour to the Big Easy this September.

According to a news release, Koy’s “Jo Koy: Just Being Jo Koy” tour is making a stop at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans on Sept. 28, 2024.

Koy is known for his stand-up comedy shows, his Netflix special “Live From The Los Angeles Forum,” his book “Mixed Plate: Chronicles of an All-American Combo” and his appearances in films like “Easter Sunday.”

Koy also received the Stand-Up Comedian of the Year award at the 2018 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.

The release states Koy got his start in comedy by performing at a Las Vegas coffee shop and has a style of comedy that “pulls inspiration from his colorful family that has reached all kinds of people and has translated into sold-out arenas around the world.”
