City announces "Live on the Banks" season

The city of Owensboro’s annual “Live on the Banks” summer concert series will return May 18, for a 20-week season.

The concerts, which will be held on Saturday nights beginning May 18, are free to the public. The concerts will be held at the Overlook Stage in Smothers Park.

In a press release, city Public Events Director Tim Ross said, “We are excited to be able to kick off another season of Live on the Banks. The series has continued to gain popularity over the years, making it a signature summer event in Owensboro that provides the community with live music throughout the weekend.”
