Carol Burnett had the best reaction to a special present she received this week from Jimmy Kimmel ahead of her 91st birthday.

The acting and comedy legend turns 91 on Friday, April 26. During an appearance this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late-night host prefaced his gift by reminding Burnett of her recent comments about wanting to “do” actor Bradley Cooper before her birthday.

“Well, you know, my birthday is Friday,” Burnett reminded him.

Kimmel then revealed that he had recently spoken with the star and director of Maestro, who recorded a birthday message especially for Burnett.

“Hello Carol Burnett, it’s Bradley Cooper,” the A Star Is Born actor’s video message began. “I just wanted to wish you a very happy 91st birthday. I’ve been such a massive fan of yours ever since I was a kid, watched your show religiously. And it’s a thrill to leave you this message. I hope to meet you one day and maybe even work together. I hope you have a great day.”

As the message played, the former The Carol Burnett Show star’s eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. “Oh my god,” she said once it was over. She reached a hand out to briefly grasp one of Kimmel’s as she reacted to the sweet birthday wishes that Cooper, 49, had left.

“Oh, that is hysterical. I love that,” Burnett said, later adding, “What a great birthday present. Thank you. That is so adorable.”

Burnett made the comment that sparked the idea for Kimmel’s birthday present during an appearance last month on Live with Kelly and Mark. The show’s hosts, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, reminded Burnett that she had one year earlier joked about wanting to “do” George Clooney.

When they asked Burnett if the Ocean’s Eleven star had ever “reached out,” Burnett revealed she already had someone else in mind.

“No, but now I’m thinking about Bradley Cooper,” she told the morning talk show’s audience.
