Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Recreate Wedding Photo 28 Years Later

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary by recreating a sweet photo from the day they first said "I do."
On Wednesday, Feb. 28, Ripa commemorated the big anniversary by sharing a throwback photo of her and Consuelos at the alter in 1996 via Instagram. The 53-year-old Live! With Kelly namesake also included a more recent image with her husband documenting their visit to their original wedding venue: the Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the original image, Ripa stunned in a sparkly spaghetti strap dress and straightened her blonde, while her then-soon-to-be-husband opted for an all-black ensemble. The two were photographed looking into each other's eyes as they held hands.
In the second slide, the celebrity couple assumed the same pose but dressed much differently for the occasion, with Ripa rocking beach waves and a deep teal satin number that featured a magenta feather and black belt around her waist. Consuelos, 52, wore a black sports coat and white button-up shirt this time around.
"Viva Las Vegas ✨ Then ➡️ Now," she captioned the sweet set of photos.
Ripa and Consuelos were also filming for Live! while in Vegas and during the segment, the couple got quite sentimental discussing their wedding.
"In a city where people roll the dice every day here, this is one of the probably safest bets I've made," Consuelos shared.
"That's so nice," Ripa gushed.
The A-list couple, who have been co-hosting the morning talk show together since Ryan Seacrest's departure, first met in 1995 while filming for All My Children. Consuelos was hired to play Ripa's love interest in the daytime soap opera and their real-life relationship turned romantic shortly after.
The duo dated for about a year before they chose to elope in Sin City–where several other celebs have also tied the knot, including Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Usher, as well as Frankie Valli and Jackie Jacobs, and countless others.
In the decades since they first exchanged vows, Ripa and Consuelos welcomed three children: Michael, 26, Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 21.
