Bob Malone to perform at the 2024 Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series April 19

Apr. 16—VALDOSTA — The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host music industry veteran Bob Malone from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Turner Center Art Park, 605 N. Patterson St.

The concert will be the sixth of 10 free, live performances in the 2024 Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series, sponsored by the Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation and the Price-Campbell Foundation.

Malone, a keyboardist and composer with more than 30 years of professional musical experience, has amassed a loyal international fan-base, according to a press release from the Turner Center. His lengthy career has seen him play with high-profile artists like John Fogerty, Ringo Starr, and Avril Lavigne. As well, his touring bands have performed and recorded with such stars as Journey, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, The Neville Brothers, and Joe Cocker.

Malone regularly performs around the world, boasting sets at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, the Glastonbury Music Festival and the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival in the United Kingdom, and the Blue Mountains Music Fest in Australia. He has also performed at big-name music venues across the United States like Iridium in New York City, House of Blues locations in New Orleans and Chicago, and the Wilshire-Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles. Malone has released nine critically-acclaimed studio albums to date, including his 2021 hit "Good People," hailed by Goldmine magazine as a "compelling listen and an astute example of talent and tenacity mined in equal measure."

Touted as a "genre-crossing master," Malone promises audiences "a one-of-a-kind hybrid of rock, melodic pop, blues, and New Orleans R&B, delivered with high-energy piano virtuosity and a voice all his own."
