Met Gala 2024 is just days away, which means our favorite celebrities are getting prepped to walk the red carpet on the first Monday in May — could Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater be two of them?

This year's Met Gala celebration has two themes: “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and “Garden of Time," with the former being the theme of the exhibit, showcasing garments that are too delicate to be worn, and the latter being the dress code for the evening, based on a short story from 1962. Grande could be one such flower in the Met Gala garden, and if so, will she bring a plus-one to the event?

That's a big TBD for now. Grande has been on the red carpet and at public events more frequently this year, kicking off promotion for the first Wicked movie; she attended the 2024 Oscars in a Glinda pink Giambattista Valli gown, and watched the Super Bowl in custom jerseys with her co-star Cynthia Erivo. That said, we haven't seen Grande at the Gala since 2018's “Heavenly Bodies,” when she wore a custom Vera Wang gown paired with an oversized bow and long veil. The star has not been confirmed as a guest for Met Gala 2024 just yet.

If Grande does attend the 2024 Gala, will she bring her rumored boyfriend and Wicked costar, Ethan Slater? That's another big TBD. The two keep a low profile — which is definitely their prerogative! — so it seems unlikely that they'd attend as a pair. However, Grande has publicly supported Slater throughout his run in Spamalot on Broadway recently, and the two were snapped holding hands after leaving the theater.

We do know one thing for sure: Ariana Grande would ace the theme. In April, she attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas wearing a hyperrealistic floral minidress by Oscar de la Renta, which would fit right in on the Met Gala red carpet. We'll be keeping a very close eye for all things pink on Monday, May 6!
