Ari Lennox is calling out podcaster Joe Buddenagain — after he hit the R&B songstress with a stray on The Joe Budden Podcast this week.

While discussing Lennox’s Dreamville comrade, J. Cole, apologizing to Kendrick Lamar for his “7 Minute Drill” diss record, Ari was name dropped by the retired MC in a non-complimentary fashion.

“I don’t want to hear no more about that record,” said Budden, 43. “It sounded like he didn’t mean it. His voice was trembling like he didn’t mean it. His choice of words as one of the greatest lyricists says he didn’t mean it. I don’t want to hear a f**king peep out of Earthstone Twitter … Cole is on that— Y’all think I’d be playing with the Ari Lennox, Scottie… They do all that earthy college campus, grass root sh*t. If you listen to [J. Cole’s] raps, he just been trying to be the best f**king— the best rapper, the best MC. But it been, you got to listen to the ni**as story. It’s been college life.”

Lennox, 33, didn’t take too kindly to being reduced to representing “Earthstone Twitter,” replying by repeatedly sharing a clip of Budden being punched by Consequence during the Love & Hip Hop reunion taping in 2013.

“Knocked your little glasses off and everything. Keep my precious name out of your psychotic, animal abusing, women terrorizing, demonic trolling, nicotine encased mouth. All this meth smoke for a woman but not for any man beating your a** in real life. Bald bi**h!” she wrote after uploading the clip 24 consecutive times to her Instagram Stories.

Tension began to thicken between the songstress and Jersey wordsmith after Budden commented on Ari’s complaints of being tour with Rod Wave last year, calling it “the worst tour of [her] f**king life.” Budden suggested on his podcast that Lennox should have talked to her team about her experience instead of complaining about it online.

“I don’t know what Joe Budden’s obsession is with me, but what I will say is that somebody needs to tell him to stop touching them dogs,” the Shea Butter Baby singer responded at the time. “He’s weird, and he’s gross. He has smoke mouth. He’s disgusting! And he’s a failure, like Drake said.”

“Everything I do — there’s a million people to talk about in life. Like I can never just express what’s going on with me without him coming from behind the landfill that he lives in to say something. And I do not know why. He’s disgusting, and I know in my heart his breath stinks. Maybe I have to sue him. Is that what I have to do? Like get on my Cardi B sh*t and spend the bread to shut his smoke mouth up?”

Joey later responded on his podcast, accusing Lennox of attempting to “demean and defame a Black man while summoning the powers universally of Black women, while simultaneously bigging up a white man who fetishizes all on Martin Luther King Day,” the white man being Lennox’s friend and Budden’s ex-podcast co-host, Rory.

“This chick is a bag of f**kin’ mixed nuts — mixed nuts come from everywhere,” Budden added. “This bi**h is all the nuts combined and I think she’s done a great job of proving the exact point that I was trying to make in the last broadcast, and we shower her with love.”
