Anya Taylor-Joy Goes Sheer and Strapless in Jacquemus Dress With Romantic Details at Cannes Film Festival for ‘Furiosa’

Anya Taylor-Joy brought sheer dressing to the Croisette on Tuesday. Her new film, “Furiosa,” premieres at the annual Cannes Film Festival this year.

The actress sported a sheer strapless dress from Jacquemus’ new “Le Mariage” bridal collection. Taylor-Joy’s sultry frock features a floor-length train and floral appliqués.

The “Dune: Part Two” star accessorized with a wide-brim straw hat and Aquazzura gladiator sandals. Taylor-Joy was assisted by stylist Ryan Hastings, who also counts Taylor Russell and Rooney Mara as clients.

The actress wore her platinum blond tresses in a middle part, while her makeup consisted of a bold red lip and rosy blush.

On Thursday, Taylor-Joy stepped out in Los Angeles alongside her “Furiosa” costar, Chris Hemsworth, wearing a leather Acne Studios minidress from the label’s fall 2024 collection. Her edgy frock featured zipper details and a sculptural silhouette. Taylor-Joy completed her look with pointed-toe black pumps and pieces of jewelry that included delicate rings, a cuff bracelet and silver hoop earrings.

“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is the prequel to director George Miller’s 2015 Oscar-winning film “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The film follows Furiosa’s vengeful fight to return home after being abducted by a horde of bikers. The film debuts in theaters on May 24.

The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival occurs from May 14 to May 25. “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig serves as the jury president for this year’s festival, held in the South of France. Several high-profile premieres, including Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and “Furiosa” starring Anya Taylor-Joy, are expected to take place, while Meryl Streep will receive an honorary Palme D’Or.
