Actress Geena Davis announces lineup for 10th annual Bentonville Film Festival
BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Bentonville Film Foundation has unveiled the lineup for this year’s Bentonville Film Festival.
It will feature films from several genres including documentary, short film and episodic.
The opening night of the festival will feature Out of My Mind, a film by director Amber Sealey. The film is based on the novel by Sharon Draper and will be released on Disney+ later this year.
Sealey and Draper, along with lead actress Phoebe Rae-Taylor will participate in a Q&A following the screening of the film.
Actress Geena Davis, who started the festival, was there for Tuesday’s announcement.
KNWA/FOX24 spoke to her about why Bentonville is one of the best places to host the film festival.

“It’s been incredible. We have such great support from this community and this area. From the first time I saw Bentonville, I thought what a perfect location for a film festival, besides any movie theaters of course,” Davis said.
The festival will run from June 10-16.
