You know how you’re certain that if you just met Jennifer Lawrence you’d instantly become best friends? You’re about to be more convinced than ever. With the final installment of the Hunger Games franchise about to hit screens across the globe, the 25-year-old star remains as charming, hilarious, and (ahem) honest as ever — even when being honest means blatantly contradicting yourself. Here are 11 juicy tidbits from her latest interviews in Vogue and with Diane Sawyer that every future J.Law bestie should know.

1. She hasn’t dated much since breaking up with Chris Martin.
Since Lawrence and Chris Martin (whom she dated for about a year) parted ways, her dating life has been pretty nonexistent. “No one ever asks me out. I am lonely every Saturday night,” she revealed to Vogue. But the mystery of her dateless existence isn’t lost on her.

“Guys are so mean to me. I know where it’s coming from, I know they’re trying to establish dominance, but it hurts my feelings,” she lamented. “I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow. I feel like I need to meet a guy, with all due respect, who has been living in Baghdad for five years who has no idea who I am.”

2. But she really wants to get married.
Even though she hasn’t been actively dating lately (except with one guy whom she dropped because he made her feel insecure), she still really wants to get married. She’s reached the age where a lot of her close friends are tying the knot, which seems to have brought the concept front-and-center in her mind. “I can’t wait to be married,” she declared to Vogue. “I feel like if I find that one person who I want to spend the rest of my life with, who I want to be the father of my children, that I would absolutely not f— it up.” Still, she confessed she’s also “not banking on that.”

3. Or maybe not.
During her sit-down with Sawyer, however, the Mockingjay star sang a different tune entirely. “I don’t really plan on getting married. I might,” she said. “I definitely want to be a mother. I don’t really imagine getting married anymore.” Hmm. Guess things have changed since the Vogue interview?

“I don’t feel like I need anything to complete me,” she explained. “I love meeting people, men, women, whatever, I love people coming into your life and bringing something.”

4. She’s made peace with the nude photo scandal.
When hackers stole racy photos from Lawrence’s iCloud account and shared them with the world, the actress quickly labeled it a “sex crime” and wasn’t shy about how upset she was, but her new dog helped her through it. “I was outside crying, and Pippi jumped up on my lap and started licking up all my tears, and I couldn’t put her down for hours. And I mean, hours. I was like, ‘Well, obviously, you’re mine.’”

Now that some time has passed, she has moved beyond it — except when someone forces her to go back to that moment. “It was all pain and no gain,” she explained. “But I don’t dwell on it unless someone brings it up.” (Read: Gee, thanks, Vogue.)

5. She happy she said something about the gender wage gap in Hollywood.
When the Sony email hack revealed to Lawrence that she’d been making much less than her male counterparts in American Hustle, the young star took to Lena Dunham’s newsletter to share her thoughts. And while many people praised her (including Hillary Clinton, who famously tweeted “Brava!” in response), there was still backlash. The result is that Lawrence is still working to defend her stance.

“I felt like I had had to say something because we need to talk about it,” she told Sawyer. “On average, women are paid 21 percent less than men… We can ask for the same exact thing that men do and we do face the reality that we do get judged more. If we’re harsh, we get judged more… It’s just something that is intrinsic and I would love to see change.”

6. She feels nothing but gratitude to Jessica Simpson.
Lawrence lives in an $8 million faux-Tuscan villa previously occupied by Jessica Simpson. While she struggled to outfit the pad with basics like glassware and furniture (though she did make significant and emotionally satisfying progress with the latter of those two chores), one thing was already ready-to-go: a hair and make-up room, courtesy of the pop princess. Further, she’s become close with her neighbors, who include Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. “Thank God for Jessica Simpson,” Lawrence quipped to Vogue. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

7. She used to dress up and pretend to be a private school student.
Lawrence didn’t go to high school because she was pursuing modeling and acting, but she desperately wanted to. “This is so embarrassing, but I would dress up like I was in like private school when I was living in Santa Monica,” she told Diane Sawyer on Nightline. "I was 16 and I would put on high socks and I was like, ‘Yeah, I go to school'… because I just wanted to be a student.”

8. She’s not a fan of Kim Davis.
Lawrence really doesn’t like Kim Davis. (Davis is the county clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples). In fact, the actress declares to Vogue that Davis makes her “embarrassed to be from Kentucky.” Lawrence continued, “Don’t even say her name in this house. All those people holding their crucifixes, which may as well be pitchforks, thinking they’re fighting the good fight. I grew up in Kentucky. I know how they are.”

9. Or Donald Trump.
If you do become BFFs with Lawrence, don’t get her Crippled America for Christmas. “My view on the election is pretty cut-and-dried: If Donald Trump is President of the United States, it will be the end of the world. And he’s also the best thing to happen to the Democrats ever,” she declared.

10. She blames herself for her infamous screaming match with Russell.
Yes, Lawrence did get into it with the famed director, but she insists that she is the one at fault. Apparently, the actress had been sick and throwing up between takes and reached some sort of breaking point. The result was that she lost it on Russell. “I was f—ing mean on set,” she admitted. “I wasn’t mean to anybody but David. I would never be mean to somebody who couldn’t be mean back. But when you really love somebody, you fight with them. There have been times where I’ve said, 'We should go to couples therapy.’” (For the record, Vogue reported that Russell is not into that idea.)

11. But what she really wants to do… is direct.
Not that this should come as a big surprise, but Lawrence’s ambitions go beyond acting. “I want to direct. But I would rather just do it than talk about it,” she mused to Vogue, revealing that she has been studying with Russell as he edits her next film, Joy, to learn the ropes… but she’s not finding it all that helpful, actually. “It’s funny because… this process is so unique to him. There’s almost nothing I can take away from it. It would be like watching a dolphin and being like, 'Oh! So that’s how you swim in the ocean!’”
