Amy Schumer has a thing or two to say about all those overly staged engagement photos that bog down your Facebook feed. In a deleted scene from Inside Amy Schumer, Amy is engaged and ready to take her first photos with her fiancé. But the photographer, played by Jemima Kirke from Girls, is not here to just take any plain old photos.
She makes them take the pictures under a tree “because when people are engaged they hang out under trees” (of course). She makes them look at each other because looking at the camera is a rookie mistake. “You guys make Romeo and Juliet look like fuck buddies,” she shouts. “Amy, I want you to be dead weight. Like really, dead weight.”
That’s how to capture the essence of true love, so you can rub it in the face of “every person you went to grade school with.”
