Whether you’re a fan of her films (The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette) or just her cool, simple, style (she wore silk pajamas to the Met Gala in 2013, on the arm of Marc Jacobs) — there is a lot to love about Sofia Coppola.

The screenwriter, director, producer, actress, and fashion muse has done a lot in her 43 years including a high school internship at Chanel (no big deal), starring in the first ad campaigns for Marc Jacobs’ fragrance, and taking home an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Lost in Translation in 2003. Here, in honor of her birthday, we are taking a look back at those Juergen Teller lensed ads from 2001. Happy Birthday Sofia!
