Pat McGrath’s Next Beauty Product is Coming

If you weren’t one of the lucky 1,000 that got their hands on makeup artist Pat McGrath’s first beauty product Gold 001 (a super pigmented gold formula that can be used on eyes, lips, and cheeks), get excited because her second product is on the way. McGrath took to Instagram starting Tuesday to promote Phantom 002, which is set to launch on December 15. Judging by the series of videos posted and the photo of Siouxsie and the Banshees front woman Siouxsie Sioux, another metallic, slightly holographic product may be on the way.

“To be able to do all this on my own terms is incredible,” McGrath told WWD ahead of her Gold 001 launch. “The ability to bring something to market very quickly often isn’t possible with large companies, and I love the idea of launching something fast. That’s the way the world moves now. I feel like I’m breaking all the rules and being true to me. I want it not only to be exciting for the consumer, but have it be exciting for me as well.”

Before Gold 001 went on sale, McGrath used the product on models at the spring 2016 Prada show, on Kim Kardashian West in an online editorial for Violet Grey, and previewed the product on everyone from Bella Hadid to Kris Jenner in the Jardin de Tuileries during Paris Fashion Week. Even if McGrath doesn’t give a similar preview for Phantom 002 in the next two weeks, it’s guaranteed to be another sellout.
