Junk Food Makeover: Nestlé Crunch Bar

Move over Nestlé. This quinoa chia crunch bar is a superfood power bar that tastes great and is good for you. Quinoa is a complete protein giving you some power to get through your day. Dark chocolate will keep your skin soft and supple.

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces dark chocolate 70%

  • 2 tablespoons puffed quinoa

  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds

Yields: 4 servings

Method:

  1. Chop up chocolate and place in a stainless steel bowl.

  2. Heat in a double boiler over medium heat. Stir occasionally with a spatula.

  3. Once melted, remove from heat.

  4. Mix in puffed quinoa and chia seeds.

  5. Pour mixture into a silicon chocolate mold and refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove from molds and enjoy. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 months.
