Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Jared Leto. Everybody’s doing it and it looks like Ariana Grande might be joining the platinum hair club too. The singer, who has been teasing art for her new single “Focus” on her Instagram account over the last four days, has finally revealed the final photo — and white blonde hair.

Grande has been down the hair dye road before. In 2014 she took to Facebook to explain her hair many hair woes, a result of her role on Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat. “I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first 4 years of playing Cat… as one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair,” the singer wrote. “My real hair is back to brown and I wear extensions but I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down.” Knowing about her past struggles with damaged hair, we are pretty sure this look is temporary (a wig, most likely).

This isn’t the first time that Grande has deviated from her signature high ponytail look. A few weeks ago the singer showed off her natural curls with a photo collage on Instagram. “Peekaboo healthy curls long time no see,” she captioned the photo, which received 1.5 million likes. So it comes as no surprise that Grande’s 45 million Instagram followers are into her blonde look as well. The platinum photo has over a million likes and 41,000 comments — and that is just in the past 24 hours. Whether the new color real or fake is still up for debate but just like the attention grabbing blondes before her, Grande knows what to do to get noticed.
