Railway bribery: Bansal's nephew, four others sent to judicial custody

A lower court sent five accused, including Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal's nephew Vijay Singla, in a bribery case to judicial custody till May 20, after refusing bail, said a defence counsel in New Delhi on Thursday. The CBI produced the five suspects - Vijay Singla, businessman Narain Rao Manjunath, Sandeep Goyal, suspended senior railway official Mahesh Kumar and Ajay Garg in the court. The CBI arrested Bansal's nephew Singla for allegedly accepting Rs.90 lakh, as part of a Rs. 10 crore deal, from railway official Mahesh Kumar through a middleman for lucrative posting.
