Police kills two Maoists during gun battle in Jharkhand

Police killed two Maoists belonging to the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) in a gun battle in Jharkhand. According to information received by the police, Maoist activities had significantly increased lately in the Banabira area of the state. Superintendent of police, Prabhat Kumar said on Wednesday that they had entered into a gun battle with the Maoists during which the two Maoists were killed. Maoists of the TPC arrived at Banabira village to execute a plan. However on seeing the police they opened fire immediately. Police retaliated and a gunfight ensued during which the two Maoists were shot and killed. The Police recovered two rifles and ammunition from them.
