This Factory Rolls-Royce Is Unlike Any You’ve Ever Seen Before

I have never really dreamed of taking a Rolls-Royce Phantom, jacking up the suspension and throwing a race-quality wing on the trunk, but now that I’ve seen it — on a car built by Rolls-Royce itself, no less — I wonder what I’ve been missing all these years.

This is a Rolls-Royce unlike any ever constructed or shown before. It’s a public engineering mule for the brand’s first sport utility vehicle, known as “Project Cullinan,” and scheduled to debut in about three years. That’s just enough time for Rolls engineers to get cracking on their first all-wheel-drive chassis and suspension.
