Student Driver Crashes Through Driving School During Driving Test

“She was doing great up until that very last part,” said Bellevue, Wash., police, in the wake of a student plowing through the driving school’s window on Friday.

The woman, who is in her 20s and new to the country, reportedly mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal at the conclusion of her driving test in Bellevue, Wash. Her Audi A3 smashed three large panes of glass before coming to a rest almost entirely within the building.

Despite the mess, local police retained a sense of humor: “There were no injuries to the driver, occupants of the building, or the Shasta Cola machine inside,” they posted to their Facebook page.

Regardless of her strong performance prior to the accident, in the state of Washington, crashing through a building is deemed a fail. The student is expected to learn from her mistake, mend her wounded vehicle, and try again soon—this time with a less shattering result.
