Singer Porsche 911 Roars Into Jay Leno's Garage: Video

California-based Singer Vehicle Design creates some of the most desirable vehicles available today with its Porsche 911 conversions.

Thousands of hours of work and many tens of thousands of dollars of materials go into each car to create a vehicle as near to perfection as a 911 can get. And naturally, any car with that level of craftsmanship is likely to attract Jay Leno, who this week opens the doors to his garage for the ultimate classic 911 conversion.

You'll first spot the car's iconic color scheme, heavily influenced by the Gulf racing colors. That means an immaculate baby blue exterior with a set of orange Fuchs wheels, as well as orange-brown detailing on the car's hand-crafted interior and under the hood, where Singer also offers a fitted luggage set. The blue paintwork also covers one of the Singer Porsche's most unique elements, that of an almost entirely carbon-fiber body. Only the door skins remain steel, while the rest of the bodywork contributes to a 500-lb weight saving over the original car, an early 1990s 964-generation 911.
