New for 2014: Jaguar
2014 Jaguar Overview
Though small in number, Jaguar's lineup of 2014 models has undergone some significant revisions, most notable being the addition of the all-new F-Type convertible. The company has also upgraded its XF sedan with a high-performance XFR-S model, while the XK boasts a new XKR-S GT offering. The latter two Jaguars also arrive with revised option packages and new safety features.
Also heavily updated is the 2014 Jaguar XJ, which brings the XJR nameplate back into the fold. It sports a more widely available supercharged V-6 engine, improved materials, and a host of options that includes touch-screen seat controls, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a premium audio package.
All-new for 2014, the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) Jaguar F-Type 2-passenger soft-top convertible is available in three trim levels: base, equipped with a 340-horsepower, supercharged V-6 engine; S, fitted with a 380-horsepower version of the same supercharged V-6; and the S V-8, which is motivated by a supercharged 8-cylinder engine that delivers 495 horsepower.
An 8-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters is standard, as are HID headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, an infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen, and a navigation system. The mid-level F-Type S adds upgrades such as a selection of ambient lighting colors for the interior, 19-inch alloy wheels, and power-folding mirrors, while the F-Type S V-8 features 20-inch alloy wheels, memory settings for up to three drivers, and power front seats with 14-way adjustment.

For 2014, the Jaguar XJ sedan adds an XFR-S variant with production limited to 100 units. This exclusive model features a supercharged, 5.0-liter V-8 engine tuned to deliver 550 horsepower, as well as substantial chassis and aerodynamic upgrades that help it achieve a Jaguar-estimated top speed of 186 mph. The lineup also includes the XF 2.0, equipped with a 240-horsepower, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine; RWD and all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions of the XF 3.0, which serve as host to a 340-horsepower, 3.0-liter supercharged V-6; XF Supercharged fitted with a 470-horsepower V-8; and the XFR, which houses a 510-horsepower V-8 under its hood.
In addition to the XFR-S, the 2014 Jaguar XF lineup now includes a new safety package consisting of items such as a blind-spot monitoring system, active high-beam headlights, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Upgraded sport seats with 18-way adjustment for the driver and 14-way adjustment for the passenger are optional on all XF models, and a new performance package outfits the XFR with a sport exhaust system and XFR-S-sourced chassis upgrades.

Jaguar has made several revisions to its well-established XJ sedan, as it marks the 2014 model year by bringing the performance-oriented XJR marque back into the lineup. Available in regular and long-wheelbase body styles, the 2014 XJR is equipped with a supercharged, 5.0-liter V-8 engine that produces 550 horsepower. XJ Supercharged variants feature the same engine, though it's tuned to deliver 470 horsepower. A supercharged, 3.0-liter V-6 engine is fitted to RWD and AWD base XJs; for 2014, it also powers all XJ Portfolio models, one of which had utilized a normally aspirated V-8 in 2013. The XJ Supersport has been discontinued.
Beyond its trim and engine changes, the 2014 XJ offers buyers upgraded seat massage functionality, a power rear sunshade, rear-seat entertainment system, and a centralized touch-screen control system for front and rear power seats. There's also a new 1,300-watt sound system with a Conversation Assist feature that uses headliner-mounted microphones to detect occupants' voices, which are then amplified through the car's speakers.
