Jeep Celebrates 75th Anniversary With Special Editions For Entire Lineup

Happy birthday.

Jeep wants to celebrate its 75th anniversary with special editions of its entire lineup, company officials announced today.

“In honor of the brand’s 75th anniversary, we have created eye-catching, special-edition models of each vehicle in our lineup that celebrate the unparalleled history of the legendary Jeep brand,” head of Jeep Global Mike Manley said in a press release.

Jeep’s legend began even before it was a brand in 1941 when Willys-Overland MB won a military contract to produce a field 4x4 light utility vehicle. The vehicle, given the nickname Jeep, won the affection of soldiers during World War II. After the war, soldiers clamored for a civilian version and the Jeep arrived.

Since then, Jeeps have been taking drivers far into the wildness with incredible off-roading capabilities. Now, 75 years later, Jeep will pay homage to its military roots and provide special packages for all of its models including three different kinds of green (Sarge Green, Recon Green or Jungle Green depending upon the model), low gloss bronze wheels and bronze and orange exterior accents. Inside, these Jeeps will include seats with special 75th Anniversary embossed on the seats or a special Ombre mesh fabric.

All of the limited edition Jeeps will be available by March at dealerships.

Here’s a look at each of the different models and some of their special features for all 75th Anniversary models.
