The rare expression of Vauxhall ego: Flickr photo of the day

It's one thing for a sports car maker like Lamborghini to espouse its uninhibited id in metal. Quite another for Vauxhall — GM's long-suffering British car brand — to peek out and do the same, which it did in 1966 with the Vauxhall XVR, shot here by Gordon Calder. The XVR never went into production, but the front end had some influence on future Corvettes. If you're in possession of a show-stopping photo, be sure to add it to the Motoramic group on Flickr, or send us a message via Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
