President Obama wheels a Chevy Volt: Flickr photo of the day

Aside from the occasional golf cart, U.S. presidents typically don't do much driving in office, which makes this official shot from the White House of President Barack Obama steering a Chevrolet Volt noteworthy. According to the White House, the Volt belongs to former press secretary Robert Gibbs, and during a return visit in October, "Gibbs told the President that his car was on the South Drive. So the President jumped in and made three loops around the drive, joking later that the Secret Service ordered that the White House gates not be opened under any circumstances."
