โSurvivor': Hollywood Manager Dan Spilo Becomes 1st Player Ever Ejected After โOff-Cameraโ Incident
On Wednesday, Los Angeles-based talent manager Dan Spilo became the first-ever โSurvivorโ player to be ejected from the show, following an unspecified โoff-cameraโ incident.Host Jeff Probst announced Spiloโs exit near the end of Wednesdayโs episode, after contestant Elaine Stott was eliminated. โAlright, so, need to share some news,โ Probst said. โSo I just spoke privately with Dan and I want to update you guys. A decision has been made and Dan will not be returning to the game. He will not be coming back to camp. He wonโt be on the jury. Heโs gone.โA title card at the end of Wednesdayโs โSurvivorโ episode read: โDan was removed from the game after a report of another incident, which happened off-camera and did not involve a player.โ Representatives for CBS did not have additional comment beyond the title card and Probstโs comments. Also Read: How Harvey Weinstein's Survivors Will Split Expected $25 Million SettlementSpilo had received complaints about his behavior, which included accusations of inappropriate touching, from other contestants during this season. He was ejected 14 days later.Details about what precisely led to Spiloโs expulsion have not been made public. Speaking to EW, Probst said, โIn this situation, out of respect for privacy and confidentiality, I canโt say anymore.โProbst also told EW โWhen we first told Dan we were pulling him from the game, he was not happy. We talked through everything for quite a while, and by the time he got on the boat to leave he had calmed down and was actually very respectful as he departed.โFollowing Spiloโs ejection, EW reported Wednesday that for the first time in the 19-year history of โSurvivor,โ this seasonโs reunion episode will be pre-taped instead of live, due to concerns of sensitivity and security.Read original story โSurvivor': Hollywood Manager Dan Spilo Becomes 1st Player Ever Ejected After โOff-Cameraโ Incident At TheWrap
