Sinkhole opens in middle of SE Woodard Road, disrupts traffic

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A sinkhole opened up in the middle of Southeast Woodard Road in Multnomah County and halted traffic late Tuesday morning, officials said.

Maintenance crews will work on repairs to the road between the Historic Columbia River Highway and Northeast Seidl Road through the day, according to the Multnomah County transportation office.

Officials said the road is expected to reopen Wednesday morning.
