Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) says she would invite Milo Yiannopoulos & Alex Jones to roundtable with Elon Musk.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) held a news conference today to promote her bill, the “21st Century Free Speech Act,” which would eliminate Section 230 of the Community Decency Act, enacted in 1996.

According to a 2021 Congressional Research Service report, Section 230 “provides limited federal immunity to providers and users of interactive computer services” and “generally precludes providers and users from being held liable — that is, legally responsible — for information provided by a third party.”

Former President Trump made efforts to change and then repeal Section 230. President Biden has also called to revoke Section 230, stating that Facebook and other platforms knowingly propagate falsehoods.

During the news conference, Greene said she would love to invite Elon Musk to be part of “a round table of all the most brilliant people who have been unjustly banned from Twitter.” Greene said she would also invite people like Milo Yiannopoulos, the alt-right commentator and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Greene plans to put together “a great list” of people who she says “have been almost deleted from public life.” A lot of us will enjoy talking to them, she said.
