Coldest stretch of weather since Spring

Morning lows were 20+ degrees lower than Wednesday, and it will turn even colder early Friday. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh is tracking mostly cloudy skies and temperatures that will only be in the low 60s. Our average high this time of year is 73.

Overnight, skies will gradually clear and temperatures will drop into he upper 30s in Jacksonville. We could see some spots drop to near freezing across inland SE Georgia with patchy frost. Highs tomorrow will only be in the lower 60s with a partly sunny sky.

The start of Thanksgiving week will be breezy and cool with temperatures into the upper 60s under mostly cloudy conditions. Buresh is eyeing a more active weather pattern for travel ahead of Thanksgiving. That’ll mean showers for us, and ice/snow for northern states.
