UPDATE: Tyler Perry's Mega Mansion Just Set A Major Record
Update 05/03/2016: Writer slash actor slash director Tyler Perry is about to add another title to his stellar resume: Real estate mogul.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Perry's French Provincial mansion has sold for $17.5 million, breaking the record for the most expensive residential sale in Atlanta history. The site reports the previous highest sale in the city was a Buckhead estate that sold for $10.5 million in 2009.
The home, which hit the market last June, is nothing short of spectacular. Boasting a spa, home theater, infinity pool, and lighted tennis court, it's hard to see why Perry would want to move out.
No word on where Perry's heading next, but if this place is any indication, we predict equally fabulous real estate ahead.

Previously: It's no surprise that an accomplished writer, actor and director like Tyler Perry would have a beautiful home, but the filmmaker's 17-acre estate in Atlanta is so packed to the brim with luxurious details, it seems even more opulent than the mansions other A-listers call home.
The 34,688-square-foot mansion has everything a millionaire could want, including an underground ballroom, 11.5 bathrooms, and a two-level parking garage. And with an estimated net worth of $400 million, is it any surprise Perry wants to surround himself with the best?
Now, according to Variety, Perry is ready to pass the keys to his palatial pad on to a lucky new owner. That is, if they can afford to fork over $25 million.
Perry is reportedly leaving the seven bedroom home to build a new estate on a jaw-dropping 1,000-acre property. And while his new home will likely be even more stunning than this one, it's hard to imagine leaving a home with its own fitness center, spa, and home theater.
Variety also reports that Perry retains ownership on several other properties throughout the country, where we presume he'll continue to host the likes of Oprah and President Obama until his new place is ready.
