'The Bachelorette': ABC Chooses JoJo
That was close, rose lovers. Despite numerous reports that Caila had secured her spot as the next star of The Bachelorette, it seems Team Bachelor has come to their senses. Instead freshly-dumped Bachelor contestant Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher will inherit the role. “It’s crazy,” she giggled on tonight’s After the Final Rose special, where host Chris Harrison made the announcement.

Sure, we just watched JoJo weep tears of pure heartbreak after Bachelor Ben sent her packing – while insisting he still loved her – but guys, that was filmed like FOUR WHOLE MONTHS ago. Of course JoJo’s totally over it now and ready to meet a new TV husband. “I’ve moved on in a sense,” she told Ben. “I’m at peace with where I’m at.”
As for Caila, clearly she was in contention for The Bachelorette — to the point that ABC shot test footage with her. Rejection once again must sting, but maybe she’ll get a ticket to Bachelor in Paradise… though by now producers must have realized that she’s about as interesting as a drawer full of sand.
