Puppies, Ponies, And Owls? ‘The Mick’ Stars on Working With Furry Co-Stars

At the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, Black-D’Elia and Carla Jimenez sat down with SuperFan Los Angeles to discuss what it’s like working on the series, and after heaping praise on star Kaitlin Olson, both turned their conversation to their fine feathered, and furred, friends. For about half of The Mick’s first episode, which aired on New Year’s Day, the show was pretty funny. Olson stars as Mackenzie, aka Mickey — and hence the “Mick” title — a slacker ne’er-do-well who becomes the guardian of her niece and nephews when their parents are nabbed by law enforcement for fraud and tax evasion.
