Sneak Peek: A Bearded, 'Feminine' Stephen Colbert Joins Jerry Seinfeld on 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee'

Jerry Seinfeld has had plenty of great guests on his Crackle web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee — but we’re not sure we’ve ever seen him have the kind of instant chemistry he has here with Stephen Colbert. As you can see in the sneak peek above, these two comedians seem to be on the same delightfully weird wavelength.

In Colbert’s episode (debuting online Wednesday), Seinfeld picks the new Late Show host up in a sky-blue Morgan Plus 4 Roadster… but it turns out Colbert isn’t great at driving stick. He grinds through the classic car’s gears while Seinfeld visibly winces; “I love how dangerous this feels!” Colbert crows.

Plus, Seinfeld quizzes Colbert on what he’s been doing with all his time off — “growing beards” and “packing bowls,” apparently — and asks him who’s more feminine, him or his father. “Obviously I am,” Colbert replies. (Even the beard doesn’t help!)

Fingers crossed that Seinfeld returns the favor and hits the Late Show couch once Colbert takes over in September… because this looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

New episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee premiere Wednesdays at 11:30 p.m. on Crackle.
