Snoop Dogg’s Weed-Smoking Trailer Made Him Late for ‘Conan’ Interview
Snoop Dogg was a little tardy to the party on Conan Monday night. Just a few minutes into the show, Conan asked his executive producer, “Did our first guest show up yet, by the way?” The executive producer told him that Snoop had arrived, but that wasn’t the end of the problems. Even though he had arrived when the show started, he was still late for his interview.
When they came back from the commercial break right before Snoop’s interview, Conan explained that while the people at home just saw a normal commercial break, the people in the studio got a much longer break. Conan joked, “We’ve all been here for two days,” and complimented the band for playing music during the entire extended whole break. Andy Richter added, “They played the entire Britney Spears catalog, top to bottom.”
Once Snoop came out, Conan was blunt about the rapper’s tardiness, saying, “Unlike most of our other guests who stay within feet of the stage … we had some problems in the past when you and [your] — I’ll say entourage — group of friends, show up; we’ve had some problems with ventilation in the building.” Conan was, obviously, referring to Snoop and his buddies smoking weed. So to fix the problem, Conan got Snoop his own trailer, but it was really far from the stage. So that’s why Snoop was so late, he thought the interview was scheduled right after 4:20 p.m.
Conan airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on TBS.
