Sam Smith on writing new James Bond theme
Sam Smith will be penning the new James Bond theme song, titled “Writing’s on the Wall,” for Spectre. In a statement, he called it a highlight of his career, and on Today, he told Natalie Morales how surreal this is for him, “Even saying it now, it feels very weird. It’s been a dream of mine for very long.”
Smith isn’t very forthcoming on what the song will be about, but that’s OK, because it’s a song — we can just hear it when it’s ready. “I just wanted to write a love song. Something classic. And timeless,” he told Morales.
