Mariah Carey Wouldn't Mind Being the Next Bachelorette

Heads up, ABC execs: If you ever plan a celebrity-themed version of The Bachelorette, Mariah Carey would be down for the title role. But you’d better send over some “Complete Season” box sets first. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the pop star admitted that she’s never seen ABC’s long-running reality romance addition, to the mock-shock of the host. “You can always make time for The Bachelorette,” Kimmel insists.

Despite Carey’s lack of familiarity with the franchise, Kimmel still nominates her for Bachelorette-dom and even promises to toss in her real-life pal, Rush Hour director Brett Ratner, as one of the guys competing for her affections. It doesn’t matter that Ratner already has a girlfriend and is only Carey’s “flover” (the singer’s self-coined term for “fake lovers”). “I think that would be fun,” Carey finally admits. It would be even more fun for those of us watching it.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
