MTV Fandom Awards Winners Revealed!

Sorry, Clexa. Better luck next time, Bamon. The reigning Ship of the Year as determined by the voters for the MTV Fandom Awards is… Olicity. (That’s Arrow’s Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak for those of you in need of a translation.) The network announced that sure-to-be-controversial result — controversial amongst the shipping set, anyway — at the Fandom Awards ceremony held Thursday night in Fandom Central aka San Diego Comic-Con.

Hosted by Tyler Posey and Bella Thorne, a recorded version of the show will air on Sunday, July 12 at 8 p.m. on MTV, but we’ve got the results right now. Even though popular Pretty Little Liars couple Emison failed to take the Ship of the Year, the series itself nabbed the coveted Feels Freakout of the Year title for the “Who Is Charles?” mystery.

Meanwhile, the hit CW zombie series, iZombie took home the Best New Fandom prize for its stellar first season. Reigning supreme on the movies side of things was The Hunger Games, which was crowned Fandom of the Year with Willow Shields, who plays the younger Everdeen sister, Primrose, accepting the prize. And even though the last film came out three years ago, there’s still a lot of love for The Twilight Saga, with that vampire franchise winning the Best Fandom Forever prize.
