'Downton Abbey' Thanks Locals With Production Wrap Party
by Ashley Lee
Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Allen Leech, Penelope Wilton and Kevin Doyle served their guests (yes, even Lord Grantham) and mingled while sipping drinks (served in plastic cups!).
Downton Abbey is moving out of Bampton, but not without thanking the locals.
The cast and crew of the beloved series — which airs stateside on PBS Masterpiece – threw a bash last week for the town’s residents to thank them for the past six seasons, as the show comes to an end.
It was a garden party of the casual sort, as Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Allen Leech, Penelope Wilton and Kevin Doyleserved their guests (yes, even Lord Grantham) and mingled while sipping drinks (served in plastic cups!).
See the photos below, thanks to the Bampton Beam, complete with Lord Grantham and Lady Edith in — gasp — denim jeans!
