Cote de Pablo Answers Your Twitter Questions, Talks 'The Dovekeepers' and Tiva

Former NCIS star Cote de Pablo returns to CBS on March 31 to star as Shirah in The Dovekeepers, a two-night adaptation of Alice Hoffman’s 2011 novel of the same name. When she visited Yahoo TV, she sat down to answer fans’ Twitter questions. You can see her responses in the video above — and yes, she talks Tiva.

In the video below, de Pablo reveals three things that might surprise viewers about The Dovekeepers. From executive producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett, the tale is inspired by true events: After the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 C.E., 960 Jews sought refuge at Masada, a mountain fortress. The survival story is told from the perspective of three women (de Pablo’s Shirah, Rachel Brosnahan’s Yael, and Kathryn Prescott’s Aziza) whose lives intersect.

De Pablo teases “charged” and “sensual” scenes, explains why white pigeons doubled for doves at times, and boasts about the actors’ action scenes. “That’s one thing we can promise: Man, these guys, they’re pretty hot,” she says.

The Dovekeepers airs March 31 and April 1 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
