Conor McGregor agrees with Justin Bieber's prediction for the fight

Conor McGregor is about the only person who thinks he’ll beat Floyd Mayweather in their boxing match on Aug. 26. But Mayweather’s buddy Justin Bieber recently said that he didn’t think the boxing champion would be able to knock out MMA star McGregor.

On Conan, McGregor responded to Bieber’s prediction by saying, “Floyd hasn’t knocked anyone out in, like, 20-plus years. Justin’s on the ball with that one.” But that’s where their agreement ended, because Bieber still thinks Mayweather will win. And not only does McGregor think he’ll win, he’s predicting an early end to the fight. When Conan asked him for his prediction for the fight, McGregor said, “I said four [rounds], but that’s me being humble. I don’t believe he will even exit the first round, but I’m trying to be humble here on national TV. So I say four, inside four.” Conan laughed at his answer, and added, “An incredible show of humility.”

The MMA star didn’t just talk smack about boxing; he also had something to say about Mayweather’s Dancing With the Stars performance. McGregor admitted that he didn’t watch Mayweather on the show, but, still, he said, “I doubt he was any good, though.”

No matter what happens, the fight will surely be entertaining, and Conan got a little gift for McGregor to make it even more entertaining. The late night host gave McGregor a pair of shorts to wear for the fight — with a big picture of Conan’s face on the crotch. The MMA star got a pretty good laugh out of the gesture before tossing the shorts behind him, saying, “Hell, no!”

Conan airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on TBS.
