Chelsea Clinton Says Criticism of Hillary Is Surprising to Her
On Today on Tuesday, Chelsea Clinton was asked about the recent bad-news cycle for her mother, former secretary of state and current presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Savannah Guthrie asked Chelsea for her opinion on recent polls that have described Secretary Clinton as untrustworthy.
Clinton replied, “I’m not a pundit. I’m a daughter. And as I just said, I love and admire my mom. I know that she’s talking about issues that are important to families across our country. I believe that is starting to resonate.”
Even though it might not feel like it because of the never-ending coverage of the 2016 election, there’s still plenty of time for American voters to get acquainted with Hillary Clinton, something Chelsea thinks will be beneficial for her mother. “I believe as more and more Americans hear from her, they’ll come to know why I’m so proud to be my mother’s daughter. And, even more, why I’m so proud that my mother is my daughter’s grandmother,” Clinton said.
