The origin of this celebration dates back to 1997 when, after losing both of her siblings early in life, Claudia Evart felt inspired to create the Siblings Day Foundation. Along with honoring the relationship between brothers and sisters, one of the organization’s primary missions is achieving the establishment of a National Siblings Day.

Siblings Day is already recognized in 49 states because of gubernatorial proclamations, but in order to be recognized nationally, the President must make a proclamation to establish April 10 as National Siblings Day. The foundation currently has a petition on Change.org to help achieve its mission.

The video includes clips of fan favorites such as Monica and Ross from Friends, Bart and Lisa from The Simpsons, and Brandon and Brenda from Beverly Hills, 90210, along with siblings from classic television shows including Leave It To Beaver, Diff’rent Stokes, and The Brady Bunch.

Also making the cut are Cersei and Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones. Memorable because they are twins — and lovers!
