Calista Flockhart Makes Triumphant Return to ‘Supergirl’
With just one more episode left of Supergirl Season 2, Monday night’s episode featured the return of two prominent characters. However, the most exciting was, arguably, the return of the self-professed “Queen of All Media,” Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).
The episode, which some Twitter fans are calling the best of the entire season, picked up where the last one left off, with Rhea, the evil queen of Daxamite, invading National City. Fans were treated to a heated exchange between veteran actresses Teri Hatcher (Rhea) and Lynda Carter (Marsden), subsequently leading to an argument on the verge of a full-blown catfight. Luckily for the two, the original Cat appeared to take control of the situation, officially marking her long overdue return to the series.
Cat Grant, who always served as a mentor and role model to both Supergirl and Kara, brings back to the series much-needed emotional support for our leading ladies, and the feisty boss lady we’ve all been missing.
Flockhart will return for the Supergirl Season 2 finale on the CW May 22.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CW.
