Bindi Irwin Shines in ‘DWTS’ Tribute to Her Late Father
On Dancing With the Stars, Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” himself, Steve Irwin, hit the dance floor with her partner, Derek Hough, to pay tribute to her father. The song was very fitting: Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock.”
Before her performance, Bindi explained why she was doing the show. “My mom says that anytime my dad would watch me dance around the zoo, that he would cry. I think that the real reason that I’m doing this is to make him proud and everyone back at home in Australia proud,” she said.
Irwin then went out and performed a stellar routine. The judges were impressed with Bindi, and their scores reflected that, earning her 8s all around.
