You Have to Watch This Video of Lightning Striking Delta Plane

It happens much more often than you may think, but it is incredibly rare to actually see lightning strike a plane.

Jack Perkins, a passenger on a Delta plane at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International was just filming the plane’s on the runway when he captured rare video of the actual event.

“While filming the line of planes all stacked up during a ground hold in Atlanta on 8/18/15,” he wrote in the post on YouTube, “I happened to capture this direct lightning strike on a 737.”

Delta spokesman Morgan Durrant confirmed to CNN that lightning struck Las Vegas-bound Delta Flight 67 on Tuesday. Durant said there were no reports of injuries.
